Welcome to Krakow. An IBMT Tours representative will meet and escort you to your transfer vehicle.
You will get a chance to have light lunch on your own before our visit to Auschwitz.
3.5 Hour guided visit of Auschwitz I and II (Birkenau). transfer to your hotel in Krakow and enjoy the rest of the day at leisure.

PRE TOUR - KRAKOW
Buffet breakfast will be served in your hotel.
Meet your Krakow local guide for a wonderful guided tour of the historic center of the city. Your tour this morning includes the visit of the Kazimierz Quarter, Market Square, Altshul (Old Synagogue), Rema Synagogue and the Cemetery, the Temple – Reform Congregation and the Galicia Jewish Museum. “Kazimierz was once a Jewish district, and before World War II were Jewish culture flourished. The neighboring district of Podgórze, became the scene of Nazi devastation, with most of the remaining Jewish population fleeing following the war. Now, you can experience the history of this interesting district and see exactly why Steven Spielberg chose it as the setting for his film, Schindler's List. Entrances included in this visit: Old Synagogue (Altshul), Rema Synagogue and Cemetery, Temple and the Galicia Jewish Museum. After your guided tour enjoy some free time lunch on your own. During the afternoon continue your guided tour of Podgórze (Jewish Ghetto). You will get to know Krakow's ghetto history and some famous people connected to it. See Schindler’s Factory Museum, and surviving remnants of the WWII ghetto.” Rest of the day on your own. Overnight in Krakow.

Arrive at Budapest International Airport. Welcome by our representative and assistance with arrival formalities. After checking into your hotel, we will do a city tour in Budapest in order to be acquainted. Dinner in a local restaurant and return to our hotel Danubius Hotel Astoria City Center Budapest for overnight (Dinner)

JEWISH LIFE IN BUDAPEST (B-D)
Breakfast at the hotel. Contemporary Jewish life in Hungary – How Did We Get Here? Dialogue with Professor Michael Miller, Associate Professor of the Nationalism Studies Program at the Central European University. Explore the story of Jewish Budapest over the past 150 years, including visits to: the largest synagogue in Europe, the Dohany Street Synagogue. Built in 1859, the synagogue holds 3,000 seats and is home to one of the Neolog communities of Budapest. The Jewish Museum, which is housed on the site of Theodor Herzl’s family home. This museum holds a unique collection of Jewish artifacts, art and memorabilia, which sheds a new light on the rich Jewish life and predominant Jewish community of Hungary, its influence on Hungarian society and its long-lasting memory. The complex courtyard, where the Community Holocaust Memorial stands. This impressive monument commemorates over 500,000 Hungarian Jews who perished in the Holocaust. Lunch on your own en route. Take a panoramic bus tour along Andrassy Avenue and visit Heroes’ Square, one of Budapest’s landmarks. Relive the 1,000 years of Hungarian history through the square's impressive statues of kings and leaders. Shabbat dinner at Carmel restaurant. Return to the hotel Danubius Hotel Astoria City Center.
Day 4 Saturday
BUDAPEST | SZENTENDRE | BUDAPEST (B-D)
Buffet breakfast will be served in your hotel.
Meet with your local guide for your Classic Budapest Sightseeing Tour. Learn about Hungary’s 1,000-year-old history and pass landmarks such as St. Stephen’s Basilica, the Parliament, and more. Walk around the Buda Castle District, soaking up city views from the Fisherman’s Bastion and Gellért Hill, and view the monuments to Hungary’s kings and national heroes at Heroes’ Square, Liberty Square and the Shoes on the Danube Promenade monument.
End of your guided tour and time for your own lunch.
After your lunch take our private minivan for the visit of Szentendre Center and the Synagogue accompanied by your Tour Manager (25 minutes’ drive from Budapest).
The enchanting little settlement (Szentendre) next to the Danube bank is nicknamed the artists’ town for a reason.
The little town, built on a hill and located just a 40 minutes bus ride away from Budapest, is the real capital of the Hungarian art scene. You will be sure to fall in love with Szentendre’s several galleries, museums and local manufactures inside the centuries old buildings while walking along the town’s trademark cobblestoned streets.
Return to Budapest. Balance of the day free at leisure. Dinner in a local restaurant and overnight in Budapest.
Day 5 Sunday
BUDAPEST | VIENNA | AUSTRIAN EMPIRE (B)
Breakfast at the hotel and check out. Depart Budapest and drive to Vienna, the capital of Austria. Visit the Schönbrunn Palace and Gardens, the former imperial summer residence of the Habsburg monarchs. Lunch on your own en route. Arrive in Vienna and take an orientation tour along the Ringstrasse, the main avenue circling the city center for a view of the city's main landmarks including: The ancient Hofburg Palace. This grand complex of a Capella and castles was once the seat of the Austro-Hungarian Empire. Next is the Prater Amusement Park, a 120-year-old park contains old and new attractions for all ages. The impressive architecture of the UN Buildings, which are the 3rd built after New York and Geneva. Pass St. Peter's Cathedral, the oldest church in Vienna. View St. Stephen's Cathedral (also known as Stephansdom), one of the city's most iconic symbols located in the city's geographic center. Check into the hotel. VIENNA'S JEWISH HERITAGE | walking tour (B)
After breakfast at the hotel we will visit the Vienna Temple (Stadtempel), the only surviving synagogue from pre-WWII days. This nearly 200-year-old building has restored its extravagant design and is still an active synagogue and community center. Visit the Jewish Museum of Vienna in Palais Eskeles to see remnants of the oldest synagogue in Vienna. Stop at the Memorial to the Austrian Holocaust Victims. Learn about its unique story of its excavations and the miraculous findings of the ancient synagogue of Vienna. Stroll through the Judenplatz, the main square of the Jewish community for nearly 500 years. Visit the second part of the Jewish Museum, located at the Judenplatz, which offers a modern presentation of the history of Viennese Jewry, including artifacts dating from the Middle Ages, a 38,000-book archive, and rotating exhibitions. Lunch on your own en route. Free afternoon to explore the city on your own, with the opportunity to: immerse yourself in culture at one of Vienna's many famous art museums. Options include the Belvedere Palace, which includes the largest collection of Klimt paintings in Vienna, the Kunsthistorisches Museum (the city's world-renowned Museum of Fine Arts), the Albertina Museum housing one of the largest print collections in the world and much more. Stroll through the Golden Quarter and Kohlmarkt in the old city, the city's most elegant shopping streets, and enjoy the vibrant life that Vienna has to offer. Explore the Museums Quartier, an art complex comprised of the Leopold Museum, with its numerous works by Schiele, the Museum of Contemporary Art, the Kunsthalle, an exhibition hall for contemporary art, and various artist workshops. Enjoy the best of Vienna’s delights, while strolling through the Naschmarket, the city’s most popular food market. Visit the Dorotheum, one of the world's oldest auction houses, established in 1707. Take the opportunity for an early view of works of art, antiques, furniture, and jewelry from various centuries that are put up for auction. Take a stroll in the music themed Stadtpark, a park stretching on both sides of the river. Walk along statues of various composers (Strauss, Schubert, Bruckner, etc.) scattered throughout the park. Take a bike ride with City bike public rental service and ride through the city. Pedal through popular locales such as: The Prater, along the Donaukanal and around the Alte and Neue Donau, on the Donauinsel, or a panoramic circle on the Ring bike path. Ride Vienna’s famous Giant Ferris Wheel for great views of the city. Take a boat ride on the Danube River. With a local drink in hand, you can appreciate a new perspective of the capital of Austria. Take a glimpse into the life of the famous psychoanalyst Sigmund Freud at the museum in his name, located in the apartment where he lived and worked till he was forced into exile by the Nazis. In the museum you will be able to view photos, personal belongings and rare footage. Visit Mozarthaus, Mozart’s only remaining Viennese residence. View portraits of Mozart’s years in Vienna, original sheet music, letters and musical instruments and a host of interactive audio-visuals. Overnight Mercure Wien City Vienna. (Breakfast)

FROM VIENNA TO PRAGUE (B)
Following breakfast at the hotel and check out. Depart Vienna and drive to the Czech Republic.Visit Cesky Krumlov, a fairytale town with a maze of narrow cobbled streets. It was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1992. Explore the town and view the houses built in Gothic, Baroque and Renaissance styles. Lunch on your own, en route. Arrive in Prague and stop at Vysehrad Fortress for a panoramic view of the city. Check into the hotel. Dinner on your own and evening at leisure. Overnight K+K Hotel Fenix Prague. (Breakfast)

THE GLORY OF PRAGUE | walking tour (B-D)
Breakfast at the hotel. An inside look into the Czech Republic– Politics, Economics & Society Dialogue with Mr. Peter Brod, former BBC Bureau Chief and Radio Free Europe activist. Transfer to the Prague Castle for a guided tour of the Castle, an overview of the "City of 100 Spires" and a walk along the Golden Lane. Walk through the Lesser Town and over the Charles Bridge. Lunch on your own, en route. Guided visit through Jewish Prague, including the Old Ghetto and the Precious Legacy Exhibit at the Jewish Museum, which encompasses the Altneu Shul, the Maisel Synagogue, the Pincus Synagogue, the Old Cemetery and the Spanish Synagogue. MEMORY & CONTINUITY (B-L-D)
Breakfast at the hotel. Depart for Terezin, the town that was turned into a ghetto and concentration camp, including the Historical Museum and the Art Exhibits, the so-called Hidden Synagogue and the Crematorium. Packed lunch en route. Return to Prague with free time for last-minute shopping, packing or to relax. Dinner at Dinitz Kosher Restaurant. Overnight K+K Hotel Fenix Prague. (Breakfast, lunch & dinner)
Day 10 Friday
RETURN HOME (B)
Breakfast at the hotel. Check out and transfer to Prague International Airport for your departure flight arriving the same day. (Breakfast)
