ISABELA ISLAND - Tintoreras | Moreno Point

After morning breakfast, your today's day start by visitng Tintoreras Islet. This small island located in the bay of Puerto Villamil, surrounded by calm turquoise waters. It has an easy trail with great landscapes and very interesting fauna. Along the trail, we will see large numbers of Marine Iguanas basking in the sun, lava lizards, herons, gulls and sea lions. In the coves, it is easy to find sea turtles, rays and even penguins. Among the many inlets and channels along the coast, we sometimes see white-tipped reef sharks (in Spanish “Tintoreras”). Following the excursion, we will return to the boat for lunch and sail to our next destination.

After lunch, we will disembark at Moreno Point, which is located near Elizabeth Bay on the west coast of Isabela Island. The plethora of birds seen during a dinghy ride along the striking rocky shores or a hike along a path through lava rocks, leading to tide pools and mangroves, create a birdwatcher’s delight. FERNANDINA & ISABELA ISLAND

After breakfast, your day starts by visiting Fernandina Island. It is the third largest island in the Galapagos and has only one visiting site. Espinoza Point, famous for the large colonies of marine iguanas and the home of the flightless cormorant, the Galapagos penguin, snakes, and more. From Espinoza Point, we can admire the beauty of Fernandina Island and its volcano which last erupted in May 2005. Fernandina is the third biggest island in the Galapagos and has only one visiting site. Fernandina is the only island that, doesn’t have mammals and the open areas are extremely fragile. From January to June, the nesting period of the marine iguana, we take an extra care while walking on the island. Return to EcoGalaxy for Lunch and short break.

In the evening, time to visit Vicente Roca Point. This is comprised of two separate coves, this site is a large bay with spectacular sea life. Here you can do Snorkelling and will be delighted to see seahorses, sea turtles, and the strange yet fascinating Mola-mola (sunfish).

Meal: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Day 6 - Wednesday

Day 6 - Wednesday

SANTIAGO ISLAND & RABIDA ISLAND

After breakfast, first place to visit Egas Port, to visit a beautiful black sand beach. To the south of the beach is the Pan de Azucar Volcano, whose volcanic deposits have contributed to the formation of the black sand beach. The crater of this volcano contains, a saltwater lake that dries up during hot weather. Between 1928 and 1930, explorations to develop a salt mine were carried out, but it was decided that a mine was not feasible. The workers’ use of endemic woods also damaged the environment and the development was scrapped.  Drive to the salt mine is strictly not allowed. In afternoon, you will back on board for delicious Lunch.

In evening, second attraction of the day to visit is Rabida Island. This visitor site located on the east coast of Rabida Island, consists of a red sand beach, a coastal lagoon behind the beach, and a loop trail approximately 1.1 km in length. The red color of the rocks and sand on the beach is due to the interaction of the very porous volcanic material with environmental factors. Rain, saltwater and the sea breeze, act as oxidizing agents, creating the red color. The scenery, arid zone vegetation and the presence of native and endemic species add to the beauty of this island.

Meal: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Testimonials

We went on a church group to the Holyland with IBMT Tours and had a great trip, everything was planned for us perfectly. There was over 123 people in four different bus groups and things went smoothly, I thought it was going to be hectic with that many people in the group but IBMT did a wonderful job and made sure the buses did not go convoy, every bus had its own time table and itinerary for the day, our guide Dani was so knowledgeable and loving. We love you IBMT and we will recommend you guys. ...

Tony Holden, Phoenix Arizona

We just returned from Israel on an IBMT Bar Mitzvah Tour for our three grandsons.  We had enough family members to warrant our own bus.  After checking out many tour companies we went with IBMT and all of us were glad we did.  The hotels were fabulous and the rooms allotted even more so.  From the INBAL in Jerusalem, KFAR BLUM in the Galilee, the SHERATON in Tel Aviv, to the ROYAL BEACH in Eilat we couldn’t have asked for more.  Our meals were equally excellent.  Beginning with a welcome reception ...

Peter Meslin, Boca Raton, Florida

Loved the trip! The itinerary was fantastic and really kept us moving. We were able to see and do so much. Best of all was our tour guide Natalie. She was very kind, patient and extremely knowledgeable on every aspect of Israel.

Stanick  , NJ - USA

This was an incredible tour of Israel with IBMT Tours and I loved the additional trip to Petra as well. We had a very knowledgeable guide from Israel who gave us an extensive explanation of everything we saw in Israel. All of the hotels I stayed in were great with comfortable beds and wonderful buffet breakfasts!!

Anthony Vizcarra, San Jose, CA

We are so glad we have chosen the right company for our tour as I can’t express my words of how wonderful this tour company was, starting before we left, the personal service they showed here back home and later the service in Israel with our great tour guide Natalie who was so informative on every place we went and what we saw.
