Day 1 - Saturday
Arrival Catania Airport
Arrive at Catania Airport. After having collected your luggage, group transfer to your hotel in Catania/Taormina area. On this day there are no planned activities, so check into our hotel (the rooms will be ready after 14:00) and enjoy the city. At the hotel reception you will find information. Dinner and overnight in the hotel.(Dinner).

Day 2 - Sunday
Piazza Armerina | Agrigento | Palermo
Meeting with Tour escort and departure to Agrigento . Stop in Piazza Armerina where you will have a short break for tasting some typical Sicilian food, like olive paté, olives, marmalades and wine. You will visit theVilla Romana del Casale, famous for the most beautiful collection of late-Roman mosaics. On to Agrigento where you will visit the Temples’ Valley, including the Temple of Juno, the Temple of Concorde (one of the best preserved Doric temples in the whole Greek world), the Temple of Hercules and the Temple of Castor and Pollux. Dinner and overnight in Palermo.(Dinner).

Day 3 - Monday
Marsala | Erice | Segesta | Palermo
Breakfast in the Hotel. Departure to Marsala, famous because of the salt works (foto stop) and the production of wine. Stop ina winery for a wine tasting. On to Erice,the medieval town on the summit of Monte San Giuliano. Here you can admire the Norman Castle (exterior) and the Cathedral. In the meantime you will have a stop at a confectionery totaste the typical almond pastry of Erice. On to Segesta,one of the most beautiful archeological sites of Sicily, where you should visit the Doric temple whose majestic appearance and dominating position bestows great nobility to the landscape.On to Palermo for dinner and overnight in the hotel.(Breakfast & Dinner).

Day 4 - Tuesday
Palermo | Monreale | Taormina Area
Breakfast in hotel. Today we will visit Palermo; we begin with the Teatro Massimo, the third biggest opera theatre in Europe. Then we enter the popular market “Il Capo”, that looks like an African souk; at the end of the visit of themarket we will taste in a bar thetypical Sicilian “Arancina”, a speciality of the local street food. We will start the visit from the old part of the city with the Cathedral, the Royal Palace and the Palatine Chapel. You can discover the city on your own.(Breakfast & Dinner).
Optional tour by Ape
Optional tour by Ape, to discover many hidden corners of Palermo riding an Ape vehicle (three wheeled vehicle)in the ancient part of the city. Proceed to Monreale, famous because of its Cathedral with Byzantine mosaics representing Christ Pancreator and its Cloister. Drive to Taormina area for dinner and overnight

Day 5 - Wednesday
Etna | Taormina
Breakfast in the hotel. Morning excursion to Etnathe highest mountain in Sicily and the highest volcano in Europe. The territory surrounding the volcano constitutes the “Park of Etna”, one of the largest protected area in Italy. Our coach will arrive till 1900 mt.(Silvester Craters). On to Bronte railway station where we will take the small train “Circumetnea” till Randazzo. Walking tour of the medieval village. Here we will board the bus and back to Taormina, situated on a rocky plateau on the slopes of the steeply dropping Monte Tauro, dominating the Ionian coast from Capo Sant’Andrea to Capo Taormina. We will havea walking tour and a Short visit of this nice town with its famous roman greek theatre, the second largest classical theatre in Sicily only surpassed by that of Syrakuse. Back to Taormina for dinner and overnight Taormina area . (Breakfast & Dinner).

Day 6 - Thursday
Catania | Syracuse
Breakfast in the hotel. Full day excursion. First stop in Catania, that lies on the slopes of the Etna, rich in baroque buildings; visit of the typical fish market and walking tour of the city centre.On to Syracuse,one of the most interesting archaeological sites of the island, in which we will explore the historic centre in Ortigia Island,the most ancient nucleus of the city with its stunning cathedral. At this point guests can choose to visit the Archeological Park without guide or to take part to the archaeological park of Syracuse(€ 30 per person + € 10 entrance fee), including the Roman Amphitheatre, the Greek Theatre, the Ear of Dionysus. Back to Taormina area for dinner and overnight Taormina area.(Breakfast & Dinner).

Day 7 - Friday
Aeolian Islands
Breakfast in the hotel. Day at leisure or Optional tour
Optional tour to Aeolian Islands -
This day you are free to discover the city on your own or you can opt to join our excursion to Aeolian islands (Lipari and Vulcano).We will leave by bus at 7:00 a.m. from the hotel to Milazzo. From there on by boat to the island of Lipari. Free time for visiting the old town. Sailing around the island we will visit the “Faraglioni” rocks, the “Horse Cave”. Arriving in Vulcano you will have the chance to swim in the warm sulphureous sea water, enjoying the beach. Back to Taormina (ataround 7.00 pm). Back to the hotel for dinner and overnight Taormina area. (Breakfast & Dinner).

Day 8 - Saturday
Taormina - Flight Back Home
Breakfast in the hotel and trasfer to the airport for your flight back home.(Breakfast).
(Rooms must be left before 10:00 am. it is possible to keep the room until late afternoon).
