Is Costa Rica on your bucket list for 2019? If not, it should be... The time to start planning your Costa Rica adventure is now!
Its vibrant history was first documented in history books in 1502, the very same year that the Genoese navigator and explorer Christopher Columbus first ventured to what is now Costa Rica.
So when you are asked to suggest a cool place to visit full of adventure, a Costa Rica tour should be at the top of your list.
Having more rivers than anywhere else, Costa Rica offers a host of exciting adventure ranging from scuba diving to white water rafting. In fact, the best scuba diving in Central America can be found on both the Pacific and Caribbean Coasts of Costa Rica
There is also windsurfing, surfing, kiteboarding and sports fishing
We arrive in the sprawling and hilly capital city of San Jose, the perfect place to begin
our adventure. Its bustling downtown streets are broken down into even and odd numbers. Running through the heart of the city is Avenida Central designated as a pedestrian mall street lined with shops, cafes and restaurants. For art lovers, there are numerous museums, galleries and showrooms waiting to be discovered. Get yourcheckbook ready, you will certainly want to purchase some form of local artwork as a souvenir. .
In the past few years, micro-breweries have become a popular trend. So, if you are a fan of good beer, San Jose is the place to be. Many breweries are launching new beers that incorporate flavors that are native to Costa Rica.
Easily accessible from San Jose is the Braulio Carrillo National Park, home to a large variety of birds, animals, trees and plants. It is also the home to the dwellingplace of the magnificent Quetzal (brilliantly colored birds), members of the Trogon family found in forests and humid highlands. Once the sacred bird of the ancient Aztecs and Mayas, today the quetzal is the national emblem of Guatemala.
Keep your eyes open on your one hour boat ride to Tortuguero whose beaches are a major nesting site for green turtles laying up to 110 eggs at a time. Are you ready –we are now going on a boat ride that will take us to explore a tropical sanctuary housing crocodiles and iguanas amongst others.
Back on the canals we head for the Arenal National Volcano Park for an extraordinary
hike along the base of the volcano. Its symmetrical cone-shaped volcano dominates the park. Although it is not possible to hike up the volcano, you are able to hike through the park searching for old lava flows and wildlife. Lake Arenal, the largest lake in Costa Rica is picture postcard perfect with the volcano sitting majestically in the background.
Enjoy breathtaking views as we head for the Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve for a one of a kind experience. Its constant mist resembles the clouds that this nature lover’s paradise is named after. Known for its red hanging suspension bridge, you will be
Overwhelmed by the incredible setting while being in awe of its incredible view.
Don’t forget to pack your binoculars to do some bird watching on the way
.Just 100 miles southeast of San Jose is the popular beach town of Manuel Antonio. It would be a travesty to come to Manuel Antonio without visiting the National Park known for its beautiful beaches situated between mountains and forests. Enjoy all of the wonders you will discover before heading back to San Jose. Costa Rica is known for its unique full bodied Arabica beans grown in eight distinct regions. People travel near and far to enjoy the hand-picked Arabica beans.
What more could you ask for – adventure, beautiful beaches, a host of activities and one of the best cups of coffee. Add to the mix rich flora and fauna, tropical weather, cloud forests, dry forests and rain forests, bird watching and volcanoes.
We offer tours ranging from 7 to 11 days, each with a different focus. In the tropical beaches tour you will experience some of the world’s most beautiful shores. Hope we see you soon!
We recently returned from a IBMT Tour for our son’s Bar Mitzvah and we all agree that it was the best vacation that we have taken to date. The tour was well organized and the staff were friendly and very knowledgeable. The events that they include in the tour include everything “must see” in Israel and activities that will make you laugh, cry, and everything in between. The tour allows for activities for all ages and accommodates anyone who wants to do more or less than they have planned. It is ...
To Ornan and IBMT Tours staff,
We just got back from tour with IBMT for our Bat Mitzvah Tour in Israel.
We are so glad we have chosen the right company for our tour as I can’t express my words of how wonderful this tour company was, starting before we left, the personal service they showed here back home and later the service in Israel with our great tour guide Natalie who was so informative on every place we went and what we saw. It was so wonderful to listen to a ...
The visit to Israel was better than advertised. All of us had an awesome and inspiring vacation or as I call it, an education. Danny is one of the nicest and smartest men I have had the pleasure of meeting. He made the trip so special and I cannot imagine any other person showing us Israel but Danny.
Hotels were great but for Eilat, but no big deal. Food in Jerusalem and Tel Aviv restaurants were delicious. Sheila in Tel Aviv was extraordinary. Dinners at hotels just “so so”. Loved Mitzpe ...
Thank you very much for the IBMT Bat Mitzvah tour we just completed. We had a fabulous time & there were lots of special little parts from the tour that contributed to that. The different experiences for dinner were very special, and I liked the variety of different types of sites/attractions. Our tour guide Natalie was excellent, and I heard good things from the other group about their guide Liat.
9 Days Holyland Tour
Sara / Ornan,
I had a fabulous time on this tour and highly recommend it to anyone interested. We had an especially knowledgeable guide with us Doron Hoffman who as a history major added so much more information and had a great demeanor. I was part of an international group and made some new friends.
"Opting to celebrate our son's bar mitzvah this summer with IBMT is one of the best decisions we've ever made. The itinerary took us to places around the country that I've never experienced on previous trips to Israel. Experiencing our son's bar mitzvah atop Masada as opposed to a more rushed, crowded experience at the wall truly sets IBMT apart from other tour companies. The professionalism of the IBMT staff both in North America and Israel was superb...everything was incredibly well organized and we were heartened ...
