• If you need a down day from all the adrenalin-related activities, Spain has many UNESCO sites to visit that hold many secrets that can be unlocked with a visit to one of the many sites like the cities of Cordoba, Granada or Toledo. Santiago de Compostela is a shrine to St. James that is a must see as is the town of Avila that is a fortified city that dates back centuries.
• History is on display when you visit the caves of Altamira in Northern Spain. The 17 caves have ancient artwork on the walls of the caves that dates back more than 35,000 years BC. If archaeology isn’t for you but you might want to see some of the art that Spain is famous for – the works of Dali and Picasso hang in Reine Sofia National Art Museum, the Prado Museum and the Museo Guggenheim.

One thing to remember when touring Spain, temperatures is decidedly summery – the temperature fluctuates between 64F-85F, so pack accordingly for your visit.
