Milan - Arrival

Welcome to Milan! Upon arrival at the airport, meet your private driver for a comfortable transfer to your centrally located hotel. After check-in, enjoy the remainder of the day at leisure to relax or begin discovering the cosmopolitan charm of Italy’s fashion capital. Overnight in Milan.

Bernina Express

After breakfast, depart with your driver to St. Moritz, where you’ll have some free time to explore this elegant Swiss alpine town. Then, board the renowned Bernina Express for one of the most breathtaking train rides in the world. As you travel across the Bernina Pass toward Tirano, admire dramatic alpine landscapes, mountain villages, and engineering marvels such as spiral viaducts and tunnels. Upon arrival in Tirano, your driver will be waiting to take you back to Milan. Overnight in Milan. (B)

Milan - Local Culinary Experience

Enjoy a relaxed morning with free time to explore Milan at your own pace. In the afternoon, join a local guide for a three-hour walking tour through the city’s historic heart. Starting at Porta Venezia, trace the elegant Corso Venezia and stroll through the Giardini Indro Montanelli. Pass by the Galleria d’Arte Moderna and continue along Viale Manzoni to view the iconic Teatro alla Scala. Admire the magnificent exterior of the Milan Cathedral (Duomo) before concluding the tour at the imposing Castello Sforzesco. End your day with a traditional Italian aperitivo. Overnight in Milan. Bolzano - via Lake Garda- Wine Road

Following breakfast, begin your journey to Bolzano with several scenic and cultural stops. Your first destination is Peschiera del Garda, a picturesque town on the southern shores of Lake Garda. Continue to Trento, where you'll admire the majestic Castello del Buonconsiglio and the Cathedral of Santa Maria Maggiore. After a relaxing lunch, drive along Italy’s oldest wine route, stopping in the charming village of Kaltern an der Weinstraße, known for its beautiful lake and renowned wines. Arrive in Bolzano for an overnight stay. (B)

Merano - Vipiteno

After breakfast, head to Merano, celebrated for its historic old town and vibrant culture, especially during the Christmas season. Enjoy free time for lunch and exploration. In the afternoon, continue to Vipiteno, a quaint Alpine town with medieval charm and Tyrolean flair. Later, return to Bolzano to visit the Gothic-style Duomo and stroll along Via dei Portici, the heart of the city. Bolzano’s blend of Mediterranean and Alpine influences offers a unique cultural experience. Overnight in Bolzano. (B)

Dolomites Adventure - Bressanone -Cortina

Today, travel through the stunning landscapes of South Tyrol. Begin in Bressanone, a historic town nestled in the Eisack Valley, known for its 10th-century cathedral and peaceful atmosphere. Continue to Brunico, with its colorful streets and panoramic views from Kronplatz. In the afternoon, visit the enchanting Lake Braies, surrounded by dramatic Dolomite peaks—or Lake Anterselva, if access to Braies is limited. Both offer spectacular natural beauty. Conclude the day with a scenic drive to Cortina d’Ampezzo for dinner at your hotel and overnight stay. (B, D)

Lakes and Mountains

After breakfast, embark on a scenic drive through the Dolomites. Take in panoramic views of the Tre Cime di Lavaredo and explore Lake Misurina, the largest natural lake in the area, known for its reflective alpine setting. Continue to Lake Dobbiaco, with its striking emerald waters, before heading to San Vito di Cadore, a picturesque mountain village nestled beneath Mount Antelao and Mount Pelmo. Return to Cortina in the afternoon for free time, followed by dinner at your hotel. Overnight in Cortina. (B, D)

Bassano del Grappa - Milan

Depart Cortina and travel to Bassano del Grappa, a charming town at the base of the Venetian Prealps. Explore its cobbled streets, medieval towers, and the famous Ponte degli Alpini, a wooden bridge designed by Andrea Palladio. Visit the Museo della Grappa to learn about the history of Italy’s iconic spirit, followed by a tasting experience. Afterward, continue to Milan for your final overnight stay. (B)

The IBMT Bar Mitzvah tour was fantastic! It was the perfect blend of family time and peer group time, of sites with religious/historic significance and just plain fun. The guide was personable and informative, and even the bus driver was great. All the details were attended to and you didn’t have to concern yourself with or worry about a thing. It was a true vacation. We would highly recommend it to anyone. If you are going to Eilat, Petra is a must!

We went on a church group to the Holyland with IBMT Tours and had a great trip, everything was planned for us perfectly. There was over 123 people in four different bus groups and things went smoothly, I thought it was going to be hectic with that many people in the group but IBMT did a wonderful job and made sure the buses did not go convoy, every bus had its own time table and itinerary for the day, our guide Dani was so knowledgeable and loving. We love you IBMT and we will recommend you guys. Thanks for everything you have done for us.

We just returned from Israel on an IBMT Bar Mitzvah Tour for our three grandsons.  We had enough family members to warrant our own bus.  After checking out many tour companies we went with IBMT and all of us were glad we did.  The hotels were fabulous and the rooms allotted even more so.  From the INBAL in Jerusalem, KFAR BLUM in the Galilee, the SHERATON in Tel Aviv, to the ROYAL BEACH in Eilat we couldn’t have asked for more.  Our meals were equally excellent.  Beginning with a welcome reception at the INBAL to the closing dinner at the CANAAN restaurant in Tel Aviv one and all loved them.

It was a busy tour made even more so by my husband who was determined the grandchildren see “everything”.  Fortunately for us, we had the best guide when Ornan (from IBMT) gave us GADI.  All of the groups loved their guides but Gadi was  special.  He was able to reach the kids (ages 7-13) as well as the adults.  His knowledge, willingness to adjust the schedule, and good nature gave him a soft spot in all of our hearts.  He filled in at Yad Vashem when the guide droned on a bit too much for some of us.  He searched out a cemetery where a father, grandfather and great grandfather was buried and proceeded to enlighten us on the rituals and customs of a military cemetery.  He adjusted our times to include those little extras.  When weather precluded the camels, we visited Qumran.  After the Bar Mitzvahs, some wanted to walk down Masada - again, no problem. 

We loved everything.  Friday night dinner with an Israeli family (coincidentally the husband was from Toronto), meeting the soldiers on the kibbutz, the Druze lunch, sampling different foods at the shuk, the bullet factory and on and on.  Although the weather was precarious in December, it didn’t stop us and we were able to celebrate Chanukah in Israel...menorahs  everywhere, sufganiyot of every kind, celebrations in the street galore.

Would we recommend this tour...without a moments hesitation.  We had a family trip of a lifetime.  Thank you also to our bus driver Louie, whom we all loved and who got us around safely.

I cannot imagine a better, more organized, more perfect experience! IBMT went above and beyond all expectations!

Loved the trip! The itinerary was fantastic and really kept us moving. We were able to see and do so much. Best of all was our tour guide Natalie. She was very kind, patient and extremely knowledgeable on every aspect of Israel.
