DEPART TO TEL AVIV
Overnight flight to Tel Aviv. Get ready to enjoy one of the best tours you have ever had in your lifetime. IBMT with its own operations office in Jerusalem is dedicated to give you personal service to each and every one of you.
DAY 2 Wednesday
ARRIVE TO TEL AVIV
After arrival at Ben Gurion airport, you will be met by IBMT Tours representative and transfer to your hotel in Tel Aviv. Remainder of the day is free to spend at lei-sure.
Take advantage of this opportunity to mingle with the locals. Shop at the amazing shopping malls, relax at an authentic Israeli restaurant and enjoy the amazing food Tel Aviv has to offer, or just enjoy a relaxing day at one of the beautiful beaches. Overnight in Tel-Aviv.
DAY 3 Thursday
LATRUN / BEIT GUVRIN / AYALON INSTITUTE / WEIZMAN HOUSE
Start the day with a visit to the Independence Hall where the establishment of the state of Israel was declared. We will continue to Latrun to visit the Armored Corps museum, one of the most diverse tank museums in the world. Then you will get to view the new and amazing "Mini Israel" miniature park which includes miniature replicas of the most important landmarks and buildings in Israel. Continue the day with a visit to the Ayalon Institute, once an ammunition factory for the Hagana, which means "The Defense". Hagana was a Jewish paramilitary organization in what was then the British Mandate of Palestine from 1920 to 1948, which later became the core of the Israel Defense Forces. Overnight stay in Tel Aviv.
DAY 4 Friday
TEL AVIV / DIASPORA MUSEUM / OLD JAFFA
Visit Beit Hatfutsot, the Diaspora museum; drive around the main streets of Tel Aviv, the center of business and entertainment in Israel. Also known as the "White City," Tel Aviv was declared as a UNESCO world heritage site for its collection of over 4,000 Bauhaus style buildings. Stop at Rabin Square, the site of assassination of Prime Minister Itzhak Rabin in 1995. Continue to Old Jaffa, one of the oldest port cities in the world; visit the ancient ruins and walk along the Artist's Quarter. Visit Neve Tzedek, the first neighborhood of Tel Aviv built in 1887, followed by Nachalat Binyamin, the pedestrian mall of the city where you can enjoy live street music, arts, crafts and handmade jewelry. Overnight stay in Tel-Aviv.
DAY 5 Saturday
FREE DAY AT LEISURE IN TEL AVIV
Enjoy another day to explore on your own the different venues Tel Aviv has to offer. If it is the local bazaar, Shouk Ha Carmel, or the old train station, the different restaurants, or just enjoy a walk on the beautiful boardwalk along the beach. Overnight in Tel Aviv.
DAY 6 Sunday
CAESAREA / MEGIDDO / DRUZE VILLAGE / HAIFA
Drive along the coastal plain to Caesarea, capital of Judea under the Romans. (In AD 6 Judea became part of a larger Roman province, called Iudaea, which was formed by combining Judea proper (biblical Judah) with Samaria and Idumea,biblical Edom). See the excavations of the Crusader city and the Roman port, aqueduct and the amphitheatre that has been restored to its former glory as a concert venue. Proceed to Megiddo, identified as the site of Armageddon and visit the archaeological excavations including the well preserved water supply system. Continue to Daliat El Carmel, a Druze village and enjoy a late lunch at a local restaurant, The Druze form a religious minority in Israel of more than 100,000, mostly residing in the north of the country. Proceed via Mount Carmel to Haifa for a breathtaking panoramic view of the Haifa bay and the Golden domed Bahai Shrine and gardens. Lunch; Dinner & Overnight in a Kibbutz guesthouse
DAY 7 Monday
SAFED / GOLAN HEIGHTS / WINERY
Drive to Safed, the center of Jewish mysticism, where you will visit the ancient synagogues and the artists' colony. Continue to the Golan Heights to see the former Syrian bunkers, Kuneitra and the new Israeli town of Katzrin. Stop at the Golan winery for a tour and wine tasting. Proceed to "Kessem Hagolan", a multimedia presentation of the area and its history. Overnight in a Kibbutz guesthouse. Conclude the day with Dinner and Overnight in a Kibbutz guesthouse
DAY 8 Tuesday
SEA OF GALILEE / NAZARETH / CAPERNAUM / BEIT ALPHA
Start the day with a visit to Nazareth via Cana of Galilee, where Jesus performed his first public miracle: the turning of water into wine at the wedding feast. Visit the church of Annunciation and continue to Tiberias; Visit Capernaum it is believed to have been Jesus' home, to see the ruins of the synagogue and octagonal church of St. Peter; Visit Mount of Beatitudes where Jesus delivered the sermon on the mount. Drive via Beit Shean to Beit Alpha to see the remains of the mosaic floor of an ancient synagogue depicting the zodiac. Overnight in Jerusalem
DAY 9 Wednesday
JERUSALEM : THE OLD CITY / BETHLEHEM*
Start the day with a magnificent panoramic view from the Mount of Olives in Jerusalem. Drive to the Old City; visit the Tomb of King David and the Room of Last Supper on Mt. Zion. Enter the walled city and walk through the newly restored Jewish quarter. Visit the Roman Cardo, the Herodian Quarter and continue to the Western Wall. Walk along the Via Dolorosa to the Church of Holy Sepulchre. Continue to Bethlehem view Rachel's Tomb and proceed to the Church of Nativity and Manger's Square. Overnight stay in Jerusalem.
DAY 10 Thursday
JERUSALEM : THE NEW CITY
Depart to the Israel museum. Visit the Shrine of the book where the Dead Sea Scrolls are housed and the miniature model of Jerusalem as it was during the second temple period. Proceed for a tour at the Knesset, Israel's parliament. Continue to visit Mount Herzl cemetery and proceed to Yad Vashem, Israel's official memorial to the Jewish victims of the Holocaust, established in 1953. Visit Mea Shearim, the ultra orthodox neighborhood in Jerusalem and learn about their unique lifestyle. In the evening enjoy a Middle Eastern dinner followed by the spectacular "Sound & Light" show* at the Tower of David museum. (Weather conditions permitting). Conclude the day with Dinner and Overnight stay in Jerusalem.
DAY 11 Friday
QUMERAN / MASADA / DEAD SEA
Drive through the Judaean Desert to the Dead Sea, the lowest point on earth at almost 1300 feet (400 meters) below sea level. Stop at Qumran to visit the site where the Dead Sea scrolls were found. Drive along the shores of the Dead Sea to Masada. Ascend by cable car and tour the ancient fortress where the Zealots made their last stand against the Romans before committing mass suicide in 73 AD. Descend by cable car. Continue to the Dead Sea; cover yourself with the mineral rich mud and experience a swim in the Dead Sea**, which many believe offers therapeutic effects.
DAY 12 Saturday
FREE DAY AT LEISURE IN JERUSALEM
Enjoy a stroll on your own at the Old City of Jerusalem. Visit the local colorful bazaar were you can work on your negotiating skills, or visit the local cafes or amazing restaurants and get a feel of local habits and mentality.
Overnight stay in Jerusalem.
